Located in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire, near Junction 9 of the M5, Alderman Knight is a unique special school. We have 242 students across KS2 to KS5, all of whom come from mainstream schools where their needs couldn't be fully met. Our pupils are neurodiverse with complex special educational needs and disabilities, yet they share a strong passion for learning. With passionate staff and the right environment, they consistently exceed expectations.

Ofsted (April 2024) praised us as "exceptional," highlighting our commitment to placing the needs of each child at the heart of everything we do. Our pupils thrive in a warm, calm atmosphere with high expectations that lead to exceptional progress.

What sets us apart is our mainstream model with a focus on personal and social development. We teach the National Curriculum, with specialist staff and a two-week timetable at KS4 and KS5, offering a range of qualifications including GCSEs. Many of our students transition successfully to further education, internships, apprenticeships, or employment.
